Every recording becomes text, and that text always runs through a filter. A filter is a set of instructions that an AI follows to write the result. One filter might tidy what was said into clean text. Another might turn it into notes, a message, a report or anything else you need.
Your Default filter
Your Default filter runs whenever nothing else is chosen. To start with, it's Clean up, which fixes grammar and punctuation and removes filler words. To make another filter your default, open it from Your filters and choose Set as default.
A filter for each app
You can pair a filter with an app, so recordings made while you're in that app always use it. Open the filter from Your filters and choose Assign apps.
Pick one for the next recording
Open the widget and go to its Filters page. Tap a filter to make it the active one. It takes priority over any app pairing. You can't change the filter while a recording is running.
Which filters your plan can run
Pro: every filter, in any of our 18 supported languages, with no uses to count.
Pro trial: new accounts start with 50 uses. Any filter runs, and each run is 1 use, including Clean up.
Pro trial, out of uses: Dolfinspeak won't start a new recording. Upgrade to Pro to keep recording.
Recordings can run up to 90 minutes, or 30 minutes with a translation filter.
If a filter can't run
If the filter fails, for example when Dolfinspeak can't reach our servers, you still get the plain text of your recording, so nothing is lost. Open History and choose Retry to run the filter again. Retry needs an internet connection.
To run a filter, Dolfinspeak sends the text of your recording through our servers to the AI provider.
